Estimate for Pencil Sketch or Oil Painting commissions

On this page you can get a general idea of the price of an oil painting or pencil sketch. Price is based on overall size of the piece and the number of subjects in the piece. Subjects include but are not limited to; people, pets, trees, urns, imaginary friends, or detailed altered background (change of background color is not considered a subject).

Please keep in mind that a minimum of two months is necessary for a portrait of one subject.

These are hand rendered pieces from photographic reference or references that you provide. I will work from photos you provide via e-mail or post. The better the original photo the better the rendering.

This is not the final price. Each estimate is subject to review.

Please Note! A NON-REFUNDABLE down payment of half of the final cost is necessary before any work is started. This is to offset material costs and to lessen the burn if people fail to pay for the final product.

If choosing oils, for a better rendering, I recommend a size of at least eighteen inches. Plus the more subjects the larger the piece I would recommend.(Details are more difficult to paint and view in smaller pieces.)
